BBC Hereford & Worcester Make a Difference Awards 2026

George and Alfie have been selected as finalists in the Young Heroes category of the BBC Hereford & Worcester Make a Difference Awards 2026.

Being recognised alongside inspiring local people is a meaningful acknowledgement of the positive work and ideas they have shared in their community.

The ceremony takes place on 10 September 2026. The result is not yet known.

Mission 3000 and the Rubik’s Cube Challenge

George and Alfie’s creative Rubik’s Cube challenge for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity attracted media attention and helped more people discover the cause behind Mission 3000.

Mission 3000 successfully reached its full £3,000 target on 10 September 2026, with the final £100 added by Mom & Dad to complete the challenge.

Encouragement From the Mayor of Bewdley

Nicole Harper met George and Alfie, took a photograph with them, recognised and encouraged their community work, and made a donation.

George and Alfie visited Cotswold Wildlife Park, where a central part of the experience involved presenting an edible Rubik’s Cube to George, the Aldabra giant tortoise.

The visit brought together creativity, wildlife, learning and their Mission 3000 activity in a way the family will remember.
